Hey, So I was meant to make a mood board for my film today. As there are photos from the film, the mood board is designed to generate a dark and frightening tone as well as a romantic tone. As the genre is Horror, my main aim when filming is to create a dark mood. My main source of inspiration is the film "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile" about Ted Bundy. With the minimal, as well as the words and actions, it produced a dismal tone. Similarly, both films will revolve around a man who seduces and murders women. Both films will have a similar premise but will focus on different issues. I have yet to begin filming due to the erratic weather in Florida, but I plan to begin the third week of February. Finally, the day has arrived when I will be able to begin working on my final assignment. I'm quite eager to get started filming. When I apply the material I gained last semester to begin filming, I believe I will have a greater understanding of it. I determined that the first scene would be two girls in a bedroom discussing their upcoming date. I'm intending on making a fake podcast with people talking a serial murderer murder to play in the background as dietetic sound to foreshadow the forthcoming murder. A park picnic will be the setting for the date. This place was chosen since it is diametrically opposed to the plot. A picnic date conjures up images of love and passion, yet this is far from the case. With non-diegetic noises of police sirens in the background, the scenario will finish with the killer discarding the body into the lake. The only thing that concerns me is potential schedule issues. Because the actors I'll be working with for the film are extremely busy, I'm worried I won't be able to film in a timely manner.

I've worked with a variety of editing software such as adobe premiere pro, iMovie, as well as apple clips,. I also have expertise in designing movie trailers for individual use, which will assist me to produce this movie's opening sequence. I opted to work with myself mostly because I believed I have the abilities required to properly construct a movie opening sequence.

Film Opening Research #2 - Beauty and the beast (1991)
How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?
The title, Beauty and the Beast, is the only title that displays on the screen. The word beauty is written in red, while the term beast is written in metallic black. The symbolism of the word beauty being in red indicates that there will be romance, but the meaning of the word beast being in black indicates that there will be mystery and evil. This foreshadows the unexpected romance between the Beast and Belle. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? To represent the beast's desire for regrowth, everything in the opening scene is depicted on stained glass. The relationship between the beast and the elderly woman is accentuated in the stained glass, demonstrating how his awful behavior towards her caused her to convert him into a beast.
What connotations do the images carry?
The opening sequence leaves the spectator with a dismal and gloomy mood. As a result of his acts as a youngster, the prince is cursed and forced to live as a beast for most of his youth and adulthood. The irony is that the prince is obliged to perform the polar opposite of what he did to the old woman. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?

Because it was a Disney picture, the intended audience was most likely a younger generation. As a result, the major goal of this film is to present a story of unexpected love. The film draws its target demographic by using appealing music and dance to keep the younger audience engaged and delighted. How has technology been used effectively? You might want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques.
To depict events in chronological sequence, a fade transition is employed. The transition is used to depict the events that lead up to the prince becoming a beast in chronological sequence, such as when the prince first encountered the old witch to when he finds she is a lovely lady and she changes him into a beast until he learns to find love inside oneself rather than physical appearance. A zoom transition is also employed to emphasize the flower's significance and how it represents love, but this particular rose is dying–much like the Beast's aspirations for true love.
After months of thought, I've finally decided on a genre for my film's opening sequence. DRUM ROLL PLEASE........... I've decided to make a HORROR FILM. In the beginning, I couldn't decide between romantic comedy and horror. As I indicated in my first blog post, I am a lover of romantic comedies, but I thought it would be interesting to produce a horror film and use different methods that I have learned so far to create a dark and eerie mood. I also thought it would be interesting l to include special effects in my film.
Finally, I decided that rather than picking one over the other, I would do both. My film will revolve around Jacob, a man who meets women online and murders them on the first date, thus the title My Last First Date. I wanted my film to address a current subject, such as the perils of a relationship, catfishing, and, frankly, the dangers of social networking.
Overall, I am beyond thrilled to begin work on my film, and I can't wait for everyone to watch it!

The young woman's cries for help, as well as her scurrying around the home shutting the doors, reinforce the genre, as she is aware that she is about to be slain, creating a sense of horror. The target demographic for most horror films is often teens to young adults. As a result, the filmmaker most likely selected a high school setting to make the audience feel as though they were there in the film. How has technology been used effectively? You might want to consider camera angles, transitions, and editing techniques.
The close-up camera perspective is used to convey the young woman's feelings and reactions when she is on the phone with the unknown caller. A dolly show is also used to follow the young woman about the house while she converses with the killer. The use of the point of view shot also places the viewer in the shoes of the young woman, instilling anxiety in the viewers.

Friends:
The first scene has a sofa in the middle of the frame and a fountain in the background. Then, using jump cuts, each character emerges one by one onto the sofa. They are then shown laughing and playing within and outside of the water fountain. The opening sequence closes with all six important characters sitting on the couch before Monica turns out the light, leaving the room completely dark. The opening segment provides a sense of wholesomeness and geniality by showing the friends enjoying one other's company while fooling about.
Full house:
The opening credits begin with the director using a high viewpoint to display the Golden Gate Bridge, as the show takes place in San Francisco. Then each of the characters are individually introduced stating the actors real name. After then, a montage of the characters playing with each other at a park is shown. The audience then observes the main characters preparing up for dinner in their house, which serves as the principal location, in the final few seconds of the opening scene. The opening scene creates a sense of wholesomeness and contentment as it shows the family having out and gives the audience a glimpse of the family dynamics.
Wandavision:
Wanda and Vision begin the opening scene by moving to a new town to live a regular human existence. Then we encounter Vision, a robot attempting to do regular human tasks such as taking a shower and getting ready for work. We next witness Wanda and Vision struggling to adjust to being normal "humans," as Wanda is unintentionally seen utilizing her superpowers and Vision is forced to toss away his water since he is unable to consume it due him being a robot. As viewers witness Wanda and Vision attempting to blend in, this produces a sense of hopefulness and optimism.
Hey Arnold:
The opening titles show youngsters jumping rope in the street, followed by the main character Arnold leaving his house to walk his dogs. A shadow of Arnold's neighbor Helga using a flashlight is then seen, foreshadowing her fixation and tremendous infatuation on him as she is hiding. Arnold is later shown walking down a dark alleyway with a flashlight, where he encounters his closest buddy. The entire neighborhood is then shown forming two separate straight horizontal lines, one with Helgas' friends and one with Arnold's friends. As Arnold and his friends are shown standing in formation against Helga and her pals, it evokes a sense of friendship. This opening sequence also has a romantic feel to it, as Helga is continually bullying Arnold because she clearly loves him. The Simpsons:
The opening titles show Bart having to write the same message on the board numerous times to repent for his acts. He is then seen doing precisely what he was ordered not to do, which is skateboarding in the hallway. His father Homer is then seen carelessly putting a toxic chemical into his hazmat suit while his wife leaves their toddler unattended and she is rung up at a grocery store. Lisa, his other younger sister, is subsequently shown becoming distracted while playing the saxophone and walks out of class. The family is then shown hurrying home, and the opening sequence concludes with the entire family reclining on a sofa before it collapses. This creates a perception of anarchy and mayhem since the entire family appears to have no structure and does whatever they want. The sofa crashing aptly depicts the family's chaos and instability.
