Story Boarding
Thank you for returning to Jacquelle's Journal. We were given the task of watching a video about storyboarding today. As this was my first time learning how to properly storyboard, it was definitely a learning experience. Many filmmakers, I learned, use storyboarding to envisage the scene before shooting. This allows the director and producer to visualize the scene before filming begins. A widespread misperception about storyboarding is that it requires exceptional artistic ability. This is inaccurate since the drawing itself is less significant than the detail. Rather than the actual artwork, it's more necessary to provide a description of what's going on in the scene and the camera motions. Personally, I find depicting the movement of camera angles to be the most difficult aspect of storyboarding because it is difficult to show how and where the camera moves. Thank you so much for reading and make sure to come back for an update on the process of filming!
